Considered goods, made to last
Alder & Vane began as a single leather workshop in 2011. Today we work with a small network of ateliers who share the same conviction — that things made well don't need to be replaced.
We started with one question: why does so much of what we buy need replacing within a year?
Our founder spent a decade sourcing leather for other labels before opening a single workshop in 2011, frustrated by how much of what she saw was built for a single season. Alder & Vane was built on the opposite premise: fewer pieces, made properly, backed by a standard that doesn't change when a trend does.
That standard now extends across apparel, jewelry, home, and beauty — different materials, the same conviction. We visit every atelier we work with in person, and we've stayed with most of them for more than five years.
Reduce what needs replacing
Every material and construction choice is measured against one question: will this still be good in ten years?
Small runs, real ateliers
We produce in the quantities our partner workshops can finish by hand, not the quantities a sales calendar demands.
Repaired, not replaced
Every frame and setting we sell is covered by a lifetime repair program — read more on our craftsmanship page.
